The Annual Town of Burnett Budget Hearing was called to order on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 7 p.m. by Chairman Tim Fletcher.
Present were Tim Fletcher, Bob Young, Dale Braunschweig, Ron Woock, Merlin Pieper, David Otto, Marilyn Rieman, Ray Butterbrodt, Randy Schwark, Donna Weigel, Lavern Pieper, and Debra Waldvogel.
Chairman Fletcher read the Budget Hearing notice and went through the proposed 2010 budget line for line.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to approve the 2010 budget. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to close the public Budget Hearing. Motion carried.
Chairman Fletcher then called to order a special meeting of the Town electors.
Chairman Fletcher read the special meeting notice.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to approve the 2010 highway expenditures of $80,000. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Supervisor Dale Braunschweig and seconded by Supervisor Bob Young to adopt the 2009 tax levy of $166,852 to be paid in 2010. Motion carried.
The following budget was posted in six places 15 days prior to the Hearing.

A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to adjourn the Hearing at 7:10 p.m.

The monthly Town Board meeting was called to order on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 7:10 by Chairman Tim Fletcher. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Present were Tim Fletcher, Bob Young, Dale Braunschweig, Ron Woock, Merlin Pieper, David Otto, Marilyn Rieman, Ray Butterbrodt, Randy Schwark, Donna Weigel, Lavern Pieper, Barb Hansen, and Debra Waldvogel.
The minutes of the October meeting were read by the Clerk. A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Chairman Fletcher read the meeting notice.
Chairman Fletcher introduced an ordinance to charge for fire calls that was in the November Wisconsin Towns Association magazine. The adoption of this will be put on next month’s agenda.
A discussion of shorter dump hours will also be put on next month’s agenda.
There was a clarification on the motion from October’s meeting on setting the Park shelter rental at $25 for everyone. This does not include official civic gatherings; it is only meant for rental by private individuals.
A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to pay all bills as presented. Ck # 23060 through Ck # 23099 for a total of $27,552.43. Motion carried.
Supervisors Young and Braunschweig examined the cancelled checks and compare them to the October bank statement.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to adjourn at 8:58 p.m.
