December 8, 2009
The monthly Town Board meeting was called to order on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at 7 p.m. by Chairman Tim Fletcher. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Present were Tim Fletcher, Bob Young, Dale Braunschweig, Randy Schwark, Lavern Pieper, Kenneth Woock, Ray Butterbrodt, Donna Weigel, Vicki Baum, David Otto, John Meylink, Ron Woock, Charles Grebel, Duane Kienast, Randy Woock, Brett Backhaus, Larry Wagner, Clint Pieper, and Debra Waldvogel.
The minutes of the November meeting were read by the Clerk. A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Chairman Fletcher read the meeting notice.
Larry Wagner from the ATV Club would like to forward a copy of the Town’s ATV ordinance to the County Sheriff and the DNR. This was okay with the Board.
Because of much opposition, the Board will not pursue adopting an ordinance to charge for fire calls.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to change the Saturday dump hours to 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting on January 16, 2010. Motion carried.
The following election inspectors for the Town of Burnett for 2010-2011 were nominated by Chairman Fletcher: Karen Moul, Alice Nitschke, Ruth Pieper, Jeanne Gietzel, Valray Woock, Lenora Ebert, Steven Thomas, Donna Thomas, Marion Seiler, and Donna Weigel. A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to appoint all the nominees for the 2010-2011 terms. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to pay all bills as presented Ck # 23100 through # 23119 for a total of $20,016.31. Motion carried.
Supervisors Young and Braunschweig examined the cancelled checks and compared them to the November bank statement.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to adjourn at 9:13 p.m.
