July 14, 2009
The Burnett monthly Town Board meeting was called to order on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 7 p.m. by Chairman Tim Fletcher.
Present were Tim Fletcher, Bob Young, Dale Braunschweig, David Otto, Vicki Baum, Merlin Pieper, Lavern Pieper, Ray Butterbrodt, John Meylink, Cheryl Voss, Tim Voss, Dennis Giese, Ron Woock, Randy Schwark, Kenneth Woock, and Debra Waldvogel.
The minutes of the June meeting were read by the Clerk. A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
Chairman Fletcher read the meeting notice.
First on the agenda was to open the bids for the cleaning of Spring Creek from Highway 26 to the Marsh. There were two bids. Schmidt Challenges bid was not to exceed $2750, and Town & Country’s bid was $2970. A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to accept Schmidt Challenges’ bid. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to fix the Peachey Bridge on Main Street. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to refund the $300 Charles Hammer paid for a Board of Appeals Hearing that was determined to not be needed. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Braunschweig and seconded by Young to pay all bills as presented. Ck #22975 through Ck #22997 for a total of $14,708.36. Motion carried.
Supervisors Young and Braunschweig examined the cancelled checks and compared them to the June bank statement.
A motion was made by Young and seconded by Braunschweig to adjourn at 8:02 p.m.
